MANY is a creative organisation in Glasgow, Scotland, focused on providing affordable work space and professional opportunities to some of the city’s most talented creative practitioners and businesses, and showcasing innovative work on an international scale that pushes social and cultural boundaries through visual arts exhibition.
The organisation offers an environment conducive to professional development, enhancing understanding and awareness of national and international contemporary arts practice and providing professional development opportunities through constructive informal dialogue and an accessible programme of creative projects that engage the public in the arts and bring communities together from diverse backgrounds.
MANY currently provides affordable studios spaces for 70 creative practitioners, and our annual arts programme engages with up to 50 artists from all over the world, including Scotland, Peru, England, Wales, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Cape Verde, Democratic Republic of Congo, Belgium, Pakistan, Palestine, Barbados, Canada, Trinidad, India, Iran.
As part of our aims as a community interest organisation, MANY also runs an annual Graduate Residency Programme, providing a 9-month structured residency and a series of public outcomes, research trips and guest critiques to up to 2 artists who have graduated within the last three years.
MANY also supports an emerging contemporary art gallery on site. The Telfer Gallery produces 4-6 exhibitions a year, working with graduate and emerging artists based in Scotland.
